Amateur Photographer in a PRO World (Sony a3000 (ILCE-3000) + Sony FE 70-200mm F/2.8 GM OSS)

Last year, I had the opportunity to shoot the US Soccer “She Believes Cup”.

Since my best camera at the time was my Sony a3000 (ILCE-3000) Mirrorless and my best lens was my Sony E 55‑210mm F/4.5‑6.3 OSS I decided to rent some better “glass” (lens).

Now may will say this was a waste, and at my skill level I definitely did not get the “magic” pictures I was sure an “expensive” lens would get me, but part of being an amateur is not having experience. I had that down pat.

So I rented my lens, forgot to clean my sensor, and went on a shooting spree. I was also in 16f weather and chose to not dress for it and almost became hypothermic. I also had to leave the stadium early.

Anyways, here is a selection of Photos I took with my entry-level Mirrorless body, and my “Professional” lens.
